How to Check Open Positions in MT5(Desktop Version)

1 Open the “Terminal” Window
– On the top menu, click View → Terminal (or press Ctrl+T).
– A panel appears at the bottom of your MT5 platform.
2 Go to the “Trade” tab
– Inside the Terminal window, click the Trade tab.
– This tabs shows all open positions and pending orders.
3 Read the Position Details
– Each row represents a trade. The columns typically include:
– Symbol: The instrument traded (EURUSD, Gold, etc.).
– Ticket: Unique ID of your trade.
– Time: When the trade was opened.
– Type: Buy, Sell, Buy Limit, Sell Stop, etc.
– Volume: Lot size of the trade.
– Price: Entry price.
– S/L: Stop-Loss level.
– T/P: Take-Profit level.
– Price (current): Current market price.
– Profit: Real-time profit or loss.
4 Check Account Summary Below
– At the bottom of the Trade tab, you’ll also see:
– Balance (your total equity without open trades)
– Equity (real-time account value including open trades)
– Margin used
– Free Margin remaining
