Yesterday in the Tokyo market, the dollar-yen price once dropped to 144.74 yen. But after news that the US might attack Iran in the next few days, people bought dollars again, and the price went up to 145.76 yen, going above the cloud line of 145.55 yen. Later, news said the US attack on Iran may not happen for a few weeks, so the price fell back into the cloud area.
Today, the New York market will open again, but trading is expected to stay quiet because there are still not many traders.
If the price cannot break above 145.55 yen or around 146 yen today, it may fall again and test the lower cloud level.
Dollar-Yen Expected Range: 144.60 – 146.00 yen
